DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SOFT-WARE-BASED LUGGAGE BILLING SYSTEM FOR AN AIR LINE

Abstract

Instruments used for weighing are found in many organizations at the sea and airports for weighing of luggages, at the post office of Sosoliso for weighing and billing determination of items. Normally these organizations make use of ordinary bulky scales in analog form. The problems with these techniques are; the bill of a read weight of item and inefficiency. The aim of this project is therefore to design, develop and implement a viable software system that may be modified to read analog signals translated by Analog-Digital-converter (ADC). The designed system accepts unit weight of items and rate (depends on the distance), computes bills and generates a comprehensive airbill for parcel/luggage section of Sosoliso airline. The system is expected to be very fast in computation precise in bill determination, flexible, easy to read and has storage facilities. It is intelligent and therefore can be easily adjusted and adapted to suit other applications not incorporated in this design by hardware expansion and software modification. A through description of the hardware design and requirement of an automated luggage weighing device which may implement the developed software system has been given as a stand point for further research.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTERIZED CIVIL SERVICE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION SYSTEM

Abstract

This project work is aimed at revealing this benefits of computerization in the promotion process of the local government system, especially as it concerns the senior staff of the local government. The project explained the way the local government service commissions Enugu embarks on promotion process of the local government staff in Enugu State. It has as its main purpose and other to advice the local government service commission Enugu on the benefits of the computerization in the promotion process. This is to increase speed and accuracy of processing promotion records for accuracy of processing promotion records for effective promotion to encourage efficiency and productivity in the local government system.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DATABASE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR A CONFECTIONERY BUSINESS

Abstract

This study was made to ascertain the implementation of Database Management Software for a confectionery Business i.e. the problems of database management is a life long problem in companies for accurate and effective communication between the buyer and the staffs of the business or establishment. The findings of the study will help to make recommendation and suggestion for future improvement and solution of the present situation. Data relevant to the objectives of the study were from secondary source and an empirical study done by me. Ora I interview was conducted on selected persons and observations was made and references to relevant materials was also conducted. Those randomly selected are based at Mr. Bigg’s Enugu and composed of both literate and illiterate staffs. All those interviewed that provide me with relevant materials and gave directive measure are literate and specialist in their job.

TOPIC:

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DATA BASE MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR INTERNAL REVENUE GENERATION

Abstract

Local Government is established with the aim of performing some local functions within its area. In doing this, the Local Government requires some funds to finance these local functions. These funds are gotten from Federal Government and State Government. However, the Local Government is faced with a lot of difficulties to source adequate revenue from both the Federal Government and the State Government, hence the internally generated revenue within the Local Government is used to finance this local projects without completely depending on the Federal Government and State Government. During the collection of this internally generated revenue within the local government a lot of errors are being made by the officers and also faced with a lot of difficulties to manage the internally generated revenue information. The proposed system aims to eliminate these short comings in the existing method. This project helps to review the various sources of internally generated revenue within Akoko-Edo Local Government Area. A data base management model has been developed for Akoko-Edo Local Government Area Igarra Edo State using C-sharp programming language for the interface coding and SQL for developing the data base. This model will help monitor the whole exercise, if it is truly implemented and adopted by Akoko-Edo Local Government Area Igarra Edo State, it will go a long way helping in the management of revenue information of the Local Government.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AUTOMATED HOTEL RESEARVATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract

The method of allocating rooms to people on request is a custom performed by hotels since its existence.  It has, over the years, fostered the ability for individuals to demand for rooms while they are not there. The efficiency of any hotel is dependent on the mode of collecting and prevent information from the customers personal data to the various services available in the hotel.  The management of their real time activity has really been a complex and difficult operation, especially when information flow is consistent. There is, therefore, the need to provide a system capable of handling the numerous jobs and reduce tediousness associated to it.  A computerized system by which a hotel reserves room for its customers will enhance efficiency, increase productivity and maximize the usage of the available services by readily providing information about the hotel in question to whom it may concern.
