DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SOFTWARE BASED STUDENTS BURSARY AWARD PROCESSING SYSTEM

Abstract

Technology has proved beyond all reasonable doubt that compt4er technology application could remove the strenuow burden of paper work which have been affecting that Bursary award system of udi local government. The accumulated files and others documents makes collection and disbursement of finance tedious and cumbersome when processed manually, after much observation on the activities of the students bursary award system. With the introduction of computers, an automated form of processing which makes processing easy is enhanced. It promotes prompt information retrieval and entry, accuracy is highly heightened and fraud can easily be dictated. The project will eliminate the problems by designing a suitable program (software) to handle those issues affecting the bursary, award section

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AUTOMATED VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM OF OFFICIAL CAR

Abstract

A vehicle is a mobile machine that transports passengers or cargo. Automated vehicle identification system, is software that will assist the security men in recognizing an official car in Federal Polytechnic Nekede. This software is an expert system will be program with the knowledge of someone that is charge of assigning official car to staff in the institution. The security men, especially the new posted one, cannot identify an official car in the institution due to ignorant and lack of proper training of security personnel, this lead to the development of an automated vehicle identifying system for easy recognizing and identifying of an official car in the institution. The methodology adopted this research work is structured system analysis and design method and this software is being programmed with visual basic.net. a complete implementation of this automated vehicle identifying system for official car will not only recognized an official car but will also store details of an official car in the institution.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A VIRTUAL E-LEARNING SYSTEM

Abstract

The demand to acquire knowledge or to learn has risen, thus, the present technology had gone a long way to provided means to learn, irrespective of the distance or the location of the E-learner and source of information. This is achieved through electronic sharing of information and virtual classroom. However, virtual classroom and test-based e-learning is a system design to help student gain access and acquire knowledge in any university of their choice. This method of learning will enhance face – to - face instruction or campus, use of computer in classrooms and elicitation of information with the World Wide Web (WWW) enhanced distance education (on or off campus). Individual and group learning with both print and computer-based materials. With all these, virtual classroom and test-based e-learning knowledge is moving towards every students and staff of University of Benin, (for instance) being an e- learner at least for part of their study, this could be through learning materials e- mails contacting tutors or submitting assignment, the use of website for research or any one of the myriad e- learning application. Thus, students or staff must not travel to Americas to acquire knowledge. Also, information can be send to students abroad through online. Never the less, in this research work, chapter one deals with the introductory part of this work and some definition of terms chapter two deals with literature review and some other important review, chapter three talks about the description and analysis of the existing system, chapter four deals with the system implementation and programming, chapter five is the summary, conclusion and recommendation.

TOPIC:

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN N.Y.S.C POSTING SYSTEM

Abstract

This project work is aimed at studying the procedure for NYSC posting system for the purpose of automating the system for effectiveness and efficiency. Nigerian University students are sent on a one year National youth service corps after their graduation from the university. The list forwarded by universities to NYSC Headquarter is registered for the purpose of sending call-up letter to the students and for posting of qualified students. So, this research is to design and implement an automated system for NYSC posting. This will be of immense benefit to the administrators of the NYSC program as it will be easier to sort out list from a particular university. Also, the system will enable proper documentation of graduates that participated in NYSC program in a given year. The implementation of the automated system was carried out using Visual Basic 6.0 and access database.

Abstract

The research work “Store Management System” includes ales, stock keeping, warehouse management, staff update, vendors update and management, clients management and point of sales (POS). This work was done as a result to solve the problems usually encountered in most companies. The Store Management System was achieved using two programming environment: PHP and MYSQL, with php as front-end and mysql as the backend database. The system can be entered using a username and password. It is accessible either by an administrator or staffs. The interface is very user-friendly. protected for personal use and the data processing is very fast.
