DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PDF TO AUDIO SYSTEM

Abstract

Text-to-speech and related read audio tools are being widely implemented in an attempt to assist students’ reading comprehension skills. PDF to audio system is a screen reader application designed and constructed for effective audio communication system. PDF’s were designed to present and exchange documents reliably, PDF are an open standard document format used globally, maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The document format is one of the most convenient method for electronic communication, and also for exchange of information. Hence, there is a need to make it more accessible to readers on screen through audio.  PDF documents are designed and structured to contain links and buttons, form fields, audio or sounds, video, and business logic. The PDF to audio system will power text on screens to read aloud (speak) with support for many languagesIn this research, the researcher has proposed to design and implement a PDF to audio system developed using HTML, CSS and PHP.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE PETITION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract

Since 2000, various authorities like parliaments and government offices have introduced electronic petitions systems (e-petitions). Compared to most other means of petitions made available by public institutions, e-petitions have moved past the test organization and are portrayed by a significant level of institutionalization and procedural development. This research is proposed to design an e-petitioning system, to help the relationship between public institutions and petitioning, Internet-based. When fully implemented, this will help the public users to be able to use different internet channels to participate and petition government institutions. The implementation of the Online Petition Management system will help improve accountability, organize and ease thousands of manual petitions made across the globe. The proposed system was developed using the HTML & CSS, and the PHP and mySQL programming language.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE ELECTRICITY PAYMENT AND METERING SYSTEM WITH PAYMENT INTEGRATION, EMAILING AND SMS

Abstract

The Nigerian power sector is confronted with inadequate, poor, un-organized electricity billing and consumer relations management. Electricity Tariff charges and collection has been a major challenge in some community in Nigeria even with the adoption of prepaid billing meters. The procedure of installment and payment is cumbersome and distressing as electricity consumers need to proceed to banks to make payments and then take tellers to power control utility offices to affirm their power payment before they can energize their cards. The significant motivation of this research is to design and implement a convenient, cashless, automated and transparent electricity metering, billing and payment system. This research combines the power of the internet to make power meters communicate with SMS and E-mails network.  This proposed system when fully implemented, will allow electricity consumers to remotely recharge and pay their electricity bills from their mobile phones and laptops seamlessly. The implementation of the Online Electricity Payment and Metering System for Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company will help improve accountability, organize and ease payment for electricity in Nigeria. The proposed system was developed using the HTML & CSS, and the PHP and mySQL programming language.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE CIVIL SERVICE PAYROL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM

Abstract

Ever since man discovered the computer and hence computer science, attempt has been made to computerize every facet of human life.  This project work express the issue of designing and implementing a state civil payroll acknowledges (speed and accuracy) over the more tedious inefficient and true consuming manual system. This system encounters the following problems.  Late receipt of raw data each month, regular break down of the accounting machine presently used for data processing, irregular power supply, in any errors resulting from the manual methods of data processing and the office caused by bulky files and constant complaints for errors from the workers.  Consequently a computerized payroll accounting system when designed to take care of the above problems.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTERIZED LOAN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR REJECTING OR APPROVING LOAN REQUEST USING CREDIT RISK AND EVALUATION MODELS

Abstract

Over the past few years, the financial sector have dedicated numerous resources to developing internal models to better quantify their financial risks and attain economic capital. These endeavors have been supported and recognized by bank regulators. Over time, banks have extended these efforts into the field of giving out loans to qualified customers. The loans are given out based on certain conditions like collateral and other factors, these factors may include checking if the customer is loan worthy, or through customers’ salary structures. These strict conditions must be clearly met by the customer seeking loan offer from the bank or they won’t be qualified for the loan they are requesting for. In this research, a computerized loan management system for rejecting or approving loan request using credit risk and evaluation models is to be designed, to solve the enormous challenges financial institutions face in giving out loans. The concept of giving out loans by banks was well understood and the pros and cons were ascertained, this helped in building the system to meet credit risk and evaluation models. The computerized system will provide less risk for the banks when reviewing customers loan request, the system will ascertain if the customer is loan worthy or not automatically. The newly developed system is automated, effective, comprehensive, interactive, and gives the financial institution less credit risk.
