Final Report

Kindly check your group and use the assigned topic to write your final report. You need to do the following:

1.     Choose a case study relevant to your topic

2.  Read the Abstract and compile the remaining portions 

3.  Select only questionnaire from the available fact-finding techniques that we have, make an assumption on the number of questionnaires distributed and retrieved respectively.

4.    Apply simple descriptive statistics to analyse your results.

TOPIC:

AUTOMATED PASSENGER LOADING SYSTEM

Abstract

This project is aimed at automating of the system of loading passengers using Chico Transportation Company as a case study. In our transportation Companies like chisco Transport Company, there is every need to computerize (automate) the passengers loading system. The computerization system or process of automating helps the transportation company in general to know the exact number of passengers that will be loading into the various buses without making mistakes. This project also has overriding objectives of identifying computer as an electronic device capable of facilitating passengers loading procedure in different transportation companies, it is also directed towards a simple analytical treatment using computer to store, update and retrieve records of passenger as compared to the manual use of files and hands. Also computerization or automating of passenger loading system would aim at eliminating past mistake done through the use of manual method, since a successful system design would go a long way in helping the transportation company in loading up the passengers. Based on the above existing system, there is need to introduce an efficient, reliable and fast method which would aid in reducing the problems faced by passengers in the park. Among many advantages associated to these automatic systems are the following.

A)         IMPROVE ACCURACY- The new system will produce accurate and exact output once input is fed into the system. This will eliminate the problem of duplicating work.

B)         IMPROVED DECISION MAKING- Owing to the fastness and good communication link up, there is also the advantage of making quick decision and obtaining information on a more timely basis.

C)         IMPROVED DOCUMENT MAINTENANCE- The new system is capable of storing and maintaining of a large volume of passengers files or document without occupying unnecessary space and any document or file could be accessed any time.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTERSIZED BASED NYSC MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract

This project is aimed at improving along lasting processing and administration system on Based NYSC Management Information System. It is also aimed at keeping records of all processing and administration system for Based NYSC Management Information System with view of modifying it into a full computerized system. the study covers the areas of application entry, record verification, list generation, code numbering and maintenance of the managed information. The new system developed is very easy to use and gives answers to report generation. Problems which evolved from the existing system as a result of inefficiency will be notified and new system design implemented. During the analysis, examination of written documents, oral interviews as well as text books, journals will be used for data collection and also a source of information. Also, it is expected that a program will be produced in order to help the Based NYSC Management Information System processing and also document identity cards. With references to the rapid growth in the information technology, it is deemed necessary to develop a fully computerized system for the Based NYSC Management Information System processing and administration system through this project.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AUTOMATED ONLINE COURSE ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR LECTURERS 

Abstract

On this project, the purpose of the course management system is to develop with ease and smoothen the course management allocation process in schools. Moreover, a lot of issues have popped up regarding the manually allocation method such as lecturers could not get the expertise courses to be lectured, more courses given to higher position lecturers and also burden their research timing. According, to the problem the researcher has come up with a solution which to develop a course allocation system for lecturers. The researcher has set the objectives to provide the lecturers their expertise field course to be lectured and also provide the correct number of courses according to the lecturer position and timing. Regarding, this the developer has done a research study on the similarities of the system which has been developed previously. So that, the developer can make a comparison with the previous system and the system about to be developed. This project also can be used to refer for the futuristic course allocation system development and also enhance modern day school course allocation across institutions around the globe.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB-BASED SYSTEM FOR DISTANCE-LEARNING

Abstract

This project is to design a Web-based distance learning system, where instructors and students can participate fully in distance learning activities while geographically separated from each other. This project is aimed to design and implement a distance learning system and use internet as the delivery mode.  This report discusses in detail background research on distance education and different modes of delivery technologies used. It also discusses advantages and disadvantages of distance learning. It also gives tips for successful distance learning and who should opt distance learning, as it is not suited for everyone. This project presents the design and implementation of this new and inexpensive distance learning system. It was developed using HTML, CSS and PHP. It handles three different kinds of users: student, instructor and admin.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A CREDIT CARD FRAUD DETECTION SYSTEM

Abstract

All over the world, the most accepted payment mode is via credit card for both online and offline payments in today’s world, it helps implement the cashless policy for shopping at every shop across the country. It is the most convenient method to do shopping on the internet, and also for paying utility bills etc. Hence, increasing the risks of credit card fraud transaction. In the existing manual credit card fraud detection business processing system, fraudulent transaction will be detected after transaction is done. It has become very difficult to find out fraudulent and regarding loses will be barred by issuing authorities. In this research, the researcher has proposed to design and implement a credit card fraud detention system developed using HTML, CSS and PHP
